Между есента на 1943 година и пролетта на 1944 година са извършени 11 бомбандировки. Загиват 2477 души – 99% от тях са цивилно население. Хвърлени се 4275 бомби. Разрушени са 12 хиляди сгради, което е една четвърт от сградния фонд.
